awareness.
www.pinkheals.com.
www.pinkribbonnews.blogspot.com. You can also view YouTube
(search “Pink Heals”, and view the video submitted by
taytaybaybay - there are other videos including two from NH, but
this is the best one). The pink turnout gear worn by the Tour
group was made and donated by Globe Manufacturing Company LLC,
located in Pittsfield, NH, (the largest firefighter turnout gear
manufacturer in the world).
There will be a Meet and Greet
at the Concord Courtyard Marriott back parking lot on September
29 at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, September 30, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.,

the Douglas N. Everett Arena in Concord. Meet the firefighters,
sign the pink fire truck; visit with your American Cancer
Society, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, the Payson Breast
Care Center, and more. Games, giveaways, and a Survivor Tent.
Bring your family, friends and co-workers; wear PINK to show
your support.
As part of State Wetlands Board requirements that allowed the
renovations at Pittsfield Youth Athletic Park to move forward,
many trees and bushes had to be planted along the brook adjacent
to Fields #2 and #3. Thanks to the expertise and volunteer labor
of Chris Morel and his helper Jake Ramsey of “We Can Do
Landscaping,” it was carried off without a hitch. They helped
unload and locate the bushes and placed them in the
ground. Thank you Chris and Jake.

projects will be October 13th, namely SPCA and sweaters and
sweatshirts. Food Pantry items were brought to this meeting and
a good collection was received. The pillow project was reported
a success.
The Ladies Aid requested help on their bag project
for seniors at Christmas.

Pittsfield Historical Society on the subject School Days. Mrs.
Ames was a teacher in the district and Mr. Moulton was a
principal in Goffstown. Both had many stories to tell about
school life while they were part of the system. Mr. Moulton had
been a student in Pittsfield. Mrs. Ames had had many of those in
the audience as students and remembered their days in her
classroom.
Pittsfield Players To Present A Song and Dance Review
October
8th and October 9th, these are the dates to save. Why? That’s
the dates the Pittsfield Players are performing in two very
special shows to benefit the Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer campaign.
In these very tough economic times, the
players felt they wanted to do something to make a difference.
The players have always been a group that gave back to its
community, and would like to continue to do so. We felt the
importance of this very special cause could not go unnoticed.
A group of ten talented performers will give you a night you
will remember, with Broadway tunes, comedy, and popular tunes as
well.
The show is titled A Song and Dance Review and there
are two opportunities to see this wonderful performance. On
October 8th, 2009 at the Scenic Theater in Pittsfield, NH, and
again on October 9th, 2009, at the Concord High School
Auditorium. Shows start at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10.00.
The show is directed by DeeDee Pitcher and produced by Bea
Pszonowsky, both long time Pittsfield Players. The cast includes
The director and producer as well as Angel Douglas, Jean and
Angelo Gentile, Jon Martin, Brian Blake, Lena Luongo, Louise
Maheaux, and Nathan Strong. So save one of these dates for a
night to remember, as well as to help raise funds to erase a
disease that has afflicted way too many women. 100% of the
proceeds of the performance will go to the Making Strides
Against Breast Cancer.

Women Of Rotary
The
Pittsfield Women of Rotary and a few invited guests recently
toured Doug Towle’s newest project at the top of Frisky Hill in
Gilmanton. Here they are making their way to the schoolhouse
which is home to many authentic pieces including double desks,
Rand McNally maps, pictures of the Presidents, a schoolmarm’s
desk, an organ from the Trace family and a small child’s organ.

aside until the next meeting.
