Are you thinking about enrolling your child in preschool for
next fall? The Center School in Northwood is accepting
registrations for the 2016-2017 school year. The Center School
is a parent cooperative preschool located next to the town hall
in Northwood, which provides an emergent developmental program
for three, four, and five year-olds of Northwood and surrounding
towns. There are openings in our two-day (T/Th) program and
three-day (M/W/F) morning programs. Call or email us soon to get

CBNA Student To Sponsor Run/Walk For Forgotten Tails
Coe-Brown Northwood Academy student Abby Dupuis is hosting
her senior portfolio project, a run/walk for Forgotten Tails
Animal Rescue, on Saturday, June 18, at 9 AM at the Deerfield
Fairgrounds in Deerfield, NH. Early registration is $22
for adults and $17 for all current CBNA students and for
students under 16. People can also register at the event for
$30.
Individuals who register online at Webscorer (http://www.webscorer.com/happytrails5k)
by June 3rd will receive a free t-shirt. Philbrick’s gift cards
will be given out to the top male and female finisher in every
category. Forgotten Tails Animal Rescue is a non-profit
organization that finds forever homes for dogs in need. Please

Recently, a number of Coe-Brown Northwood Academy students
participated in the 35th annual Congressional Art Competition:
An Artistic Discovery in Congresswoman Ann Kuster’s Second
Congressional District. They are as follows: from
Barrington - Katherine Martel; from Northwood - Cassandra
Barnhart, Ryu Kondrup, Lily Hunt, Sophia Menjivar, Billie
Pingree, Julie Souryavong, and Sarah Turmel; from Nottingham -
Kayleigh Bounds, Megan Elwell, and Kristina Seavey; from
Strafford - Raven Barnes, Annabella Fasulo, Arianna Maker,
Jacob Pogorek and LilyGrace York. The exhibition, reception, and
awards ceremony took place on Friday, May 6 at the Kimball
Jenkins School of Art in Concord. As a result of the
competition, seniors Ryu Kondrup and Jacob Pogorek were
recognized for their outstanding work by the New Hampshire
Institute of Art, Ryu for his works Fluid Tricycle Dream, The
Lost Roman and Phantom of the USS Squalus and Jacob for his
works Frozen Fushia, Detachment and Neither Here nor There. Both
students received scholarships of $1000 each to attend the
Institute’s BFA program. Congratulations to all participants for
their excellent work.
Northwood Church Hosts Concert
The Marshalls
The Advent Christian Church, 113
School St., in Northwood will host Bruce and Sharon Marshall in
concert on Sunday night May 22 at 6 PM. The Marshalls have been
singing together as a husband and wife team for 35 years and
bring their unique gospel music to Northwood for a repeat
performance.
The Northwood Advent Christian Church
is pleased to host this concert and invites the public to join
them for this wonderful performance which will include some
patriotic songs as well as gospel. The concert is at 6 and the
church is located on Rt. 107, 113 School St. in Northwood.
The Marshalls have performed up and
down the east coast and to California and back in churches,
conferences and other venues and are excited to share in New
Hampshire again. Their music style is from contemporary worship
music to traditional gospel and hymns. Come and you will be
encouraged and blessed.
The Marshalls live in Maine, Sharon is
a graduate of U. Maine in the music program and has been
employed at WMSJ 89.5 Positive FM radio station in Maine as
co-host on the morning Kenny and Sharon show. Bruce is employed
at Bath Iron Works.
Northwood CrankPullers Snowmobile Club Spring Snowmobile
WaterCross
The Northwood CrankPullers Snowmobile Club is hosting
its first ever Spring Snowmobile WaterCross event at Lake Shore
Farm in Northwood, N.H on May 22, 2016! Bring your family
and lawn chairs and get ready for some great fun or load up your
sled and participate!
There will be an antique snowmobile
display, flea market, club memberships, club apparel for sale
and as always we will have lots of great food!
