Thank
You From The Food Pantry
The
Northwood Food Pantry volunteers would like to extend a sincere
thank you to everyone who has made a donation in some way to the
food pantry during this past year and particularly for the recent
holiday season. We appreciate the donation of food, and monetary
contributions for the purchase of food, from individuals, families,
churches, local organizations and businesses. Your generosity has
helped our friends and neighbors who have fallen on hard times, to
enjoy the holiday season.
The
Northwood Emergency Food Pantry (NEFP) continues to serve the
community by providing a supply of food, soap and paper goods to
individuals or families in need. Formed in the early 1980’s, the
pantry has been able to continue to provide this service due to the
generous support of many individuals and organizations throughout
Northwood. It has been the hope of NEFP that no child or adult in
the community would be without needed food or basic health supplies.
All requests to the pantry are confidential and respectful of the
persons applying. Hours the food pantry is open: 1st Saturday of
each month: 10:00 to 11:30 AM; 2nd Monday of each month: 3:00 to
4:30 PM, and the Last Wednesday on each month: 10:00 to 11:30 AM.

Anita
L. (Biagiotti) Kane
Anita
L. (Biagiotti) Kane, 55, of Shore Drive, passed away peacefully at
her residence with her family by her side.
Anita
was born on December 25, 1958 in Lowell, MA; the daughter of John J.
and Jeannette R. (Vachon) Biagiotti, of Billerica, MA.
She
enjoyed her life on Harvey Lake floating (or as Anita referred to it
as Kibbying) on rafts on the lake, sunset cruising with Jack and
socializing with all her friends. Annually, she and Jack hosted a
Fourth of July party where fun was had by all. Anita had fun putting
around the neighborhood in her golf cart. She loved and scattered
kindness to all she came in contact with.
Christmas was Anita’s favorite time of year, due to her gathering
with family and friends, her birthday and the spirit of giving. She
loved her job at Northwood School working with the students and
staff (especially the occasional Friday debriefing sessions with
friends). Walking on Hampton Beach was one of her favorite ways to
annually celebrate her anniversary with her “man” Jack.
Besides
her parents, Anita is survived by her husband, John W. Kane (Jack);
her daughter, Amanda M. Kane both of Northwood; her siblings,
Deborah A. Biagiotti of Billerica, MA, Linda L. Calabrese of
Northwood, NH and John J. Biagiotti Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of
Billerica, MA; her in laws, Kathy Avila and her husband Donald of
Lowell, MA; James Kane of Northwood, NH; Richard Brunet of
Somerville, MA; Dennis Kane and his wife Carol of Pelham, NH; Julie
Bikos and her husband Daniel of Lowell, MA. She was like the second
mother to Matthew and Meghan Brunet of Somerville, MA and the aunt
of many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many cousins,
aunts and uncles.
She was
predeceased by her son Ryan P. Kane and sister in law Donna Brunet
of New Ipswich, NH.
Memorial contributions may be made in Anita’s name to Andrew Lapham,
Attn: Penn Teen Center, 511 NH Turnpike, Northwood, NH 03261.
A Mass
of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 in the
St. Joseph’s Parish, Northwood, NH with Father John Loughnane,
officiating.
Interment will be in the spring of 2014 at Pine Grove Cemetery,
