Northwood Self Storage is pleased to host the 1st Annual
Pleasant Lake Association Yard Sale at their Rt. 4
location on Saturday, August 28th, 8AM-1PM. Rain date is
Sunday, the 29th.
A 10' X 10' space is only $10. All table space
rentals to benefit the Pleasant Lake Association of
Deerfield and Northwood. If you would like to reserve a

Northwood Lake Watershed Updates
At the August 14 Northwood Lake Watershed
Association meeting, hosted by Camp Wah-Tut-Ca Boy Scout
Camp, Diving Director Brad Hall, provided an update on
the recent activities related to milfoil pulling by
volunteer divers. By the end of August the Association
will have six certified divers. Currently we have seven
tenders. Suction harvesting is being investigated, as
this technique is also used to pull milfoil.
When the Watershed puts divers into the water for
pulling milfoil, approval must be provided by the New
Hampshire Department of Environmental Sciences. A
blanket approval has been worked out that will be in
effect over a specific period of time. This will help
expedite the process and make it more flexible to
accommodate divers availability and schedules.
President Jim Vaillancourt reviewed next year’s
potential items and activities. These include membership
growth, chemical treatment and hand pulling for milfoil,
Weed Watcher and Lake Host programs and working with
local governments.
