Preschool Openings!


Now is the time to think about enrolling your child in preschool! The Center School in Northwood is accepting registrations for the 2010-2011 school year. The Center School is a parent cooperative preschool located next to the Town Hall in Northwood, which provides a developmental program for three, four, and five year-olds of Northwood and surrounding towns. There are openings in our two-day  (T/Th) program and three-day (M/W/F) morning programs. Call us soon and come to visit! James A. Ring


Northwood - James A. Ring, 54, of Jenness Pond Road, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at CRVNA Hospice House.


Born on February 11, 1956, in Springfield, MA, James was the son of Ellis Ring of Northwood and the late Rachel (Watson) Ring.


Mr. Ring was a self employed mechanic and the owner of Jim’s Small Engine Repair in Northwood. He loved his Harley and snowmobiling.


In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Ann (Kinkade) Ring of Northwood; 2 children, Arthur and Drew Ring of Northwood; 2 step-sons, Jason Morton of Northwood, and Robert Morton of Monticello, ME; a brother, Harry Ring of Northwood; a sister, Sandy (Mrs. Jay) Silva of Northwood; and nieces and nephews.


Friends and relatives  shared in a time of remembrance on Friday, April 2nd  at the Lake Shore Farm,  in Northwood.


Pastor Ted White offered prayers.

Michael J. Anthony


Rochester – Michael J. Anthony, 59, of Calef Hwy, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the CRVNA Hospice House in Concord.


Born in Danvers, MA on November 25, 1950, Michael was the son of Leonard and Priscilla (Grant) Anthony.


Mr. Anthony was self employed as a heavy equipment operator, but his true passion was horses, which he raised and bred.


He leaves behind a son, Brian Anthony and his wife Shelly of Allenstown; granddaughters, Melanie and Nicole; siblings, Linda Tuttle White, Steve Anthony and his wife Judi, and Larry Anthony and his wife Cheri, all of Northwood, Cheryle Sargent and her husband Bradford of Strafford, and Chris Averill of Dunbarton; foster brothers, Tom Foley and his wife Claire of Providence, RI, and Fred Estes of Chichester; and nieces and nephews.


Services will be held Saturday, April 10th at 11 AM at the Northwood Advent Christian Church. Pastor Donald Plummer will officiate.
