Christmas Eve Service will be held December 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Northwood. All are welcome to attend our celebration of the Advent Season. Parking is available behind the church, entering from Route 202 or Hannaford’s Parking Lot.



 

Coe-Brown Northwood Academy Introduction to Culinary Arts

The Culinary Arts class of CBNA has just finished its series of Senior Citizen luncheons for the fall season. These luncheons are held on the balcony area of Smith Hall from 12:15-1:15 p.m. at a reasonable cost to patrons. If you would like to receive a schedule of spring luncheons, please call Mrs. Mongeon at 942-5531 and leave a message in voice mail #141. We look forward to meeting new customers!

 


 

Chesley Memorial Library December Activities

 
The Chesley Memorial Library programs and events offered this December are as follows: The Tween Book Club will be sharing some of their favorite books on Thursday, December 17 at 6:30 p.m.


Join us on December 19 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for Christmas Around the World*!


There will be a special story time on Tuesday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. Animal Crackers and juice boxes will be served, registration is not required.


On Tuesday, December 29 the library is extremely pleased to offer two free shows. Wayne from Maine and Peter Boie, Magician for the Unbeliever will be at the Northwood Masonic Hall beginning at 2:00 p.m.! For details on these and other library programs please call the library at 942-5472.


*Volunteers are still needed for Christmas Around the World! If you are interested in helping out, please call the library and ask for Danielle!

 


 

Northwood Recreation Update


The Northwood Recreation Department has much to offer to the adults in the community.  Adult Basketball is underway.  If you are over the age of 18 and would like to participate in a pick up game of Basketball, register with the Recreation Department.  Games are played on Thursday evenings from 8:00 – 9:30.  The cost is FREE. The Recreation Department and Chesley Memorial Library is offering an Introduction to Excel class.  The topics that will be covered include understanding basic terminology, toolbar buttons, data sorting, light use of formulas, and keyboard shortcuts.  It is helpful to have a prior basic familiarity with using the keyboard and mouse.  This class has been created for teens and adults.  Register by January 4th.  The cost is $5.00.  Also, don’t miss the next Aerobic Class.  Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday’s for 5 weeks from 6:30 – 7:30 PM.  The cost is $15 to participate one night per week and $30 to participate 2 nights per week.  Registration forms for all programs can be printed from the website, www.northwoodnh.org and returned to the Northwood Town Hall.  For more information contact the Recreation Department at [email protected] or 942-5586 x209.
