Christmas Bazaar
Our
Lady of Lourdes/St. Joseph Women’s Club will be holding their annual
Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, 11/7/09, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the
parish hall in Northwood, NH. (Route 4, next to the Town Hall.)
There will be craft items, knitted goods, books, puzzles, a white
elephant table, raffles, and a bake sale where you can purchase your
homemade baked goods for Thanksgiving. We will again have our ever
popular cookie walk and will be offering a luncheon with some
delicious choices. Drop by, you won’t be disappointed.
The
First Baptist Church of Northwood is having a Turkey and all the
fixings Supper on Saturday, November 7, at 5 p.m. If you are the
type of person who just can’t get enough turkey, this supper is for
you. We will have apple and pumpkin pie for dessert. To assure
your place at the table, please call 463-5855 for reservations.
The
First Baptist Church of Northwood is asking members of our community
to refrain from leaving items of clothing, toys, etc. outside of the
church building. The ladies of the church are no longer running a
thrift shop and items that have been left outside have been damaged
by the rain in recent weeks necessitating that all items had to be
taken to the dump. We ask that you use the many Planet Earth boxes
in the area or take your items to the place of your choice so that
those in need may benefit.
The
public is cordially invited to attend a special musical performance
by singer/song writer, Don Smith of Travelin’ On Music. This will be
held on Friday, November 13th at 7 p.m. at the First Congregational
Church, 24 Main Street in Pittsfield. Don is a country, gospel
singer, the program will take place in the church sanctuary. There
is no charge. A love offering will be taken.
Don’t forget the Spaghetti Supper to be held on Nov. 7 at the First
Congregational Church, 24 Main Street, Pittsfield, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The proceeds from this supper will go to the Pittsfield Food Pantry.
The cost is by monetary donation only. Don’t miss out on this
delicious meal while supporting a worthy cause.
