Did you mark your calendars for the evening of music to be held Friday, November 13th at 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Pittsfield? Singer/songwriter, Don Smith will present a special musical performance of “Travelin’ On Music.” No cost to attend - a love offering will be taken. Everyone  is cordially invited.

Our annual Christmas Fair and very popular corn chowder lunch, sandwiches and pies. There will be a great assortment of baked goods and candy, gourmet gifts, decorations, gifts and crafts, handiwork and a silent auction. This fair has a great reputation and popular items are in great demand. Hope to see you there!

Northwood Historical Society To Hold Pot Luck Supper

The Northwood Historical Society will be having its annual potluck supper November 17, 2009, at the Community Hall.

The supper will begin at 6:00 p.m. Please bring an entrée, side dish or salad. Dessert and drinks will be provided. Also, please bring your place setting. After the meal, we will be discussing thanksgiving meals of the past. What were your family’s traditions? There will be old cookbooks from the collection available for you to view.

The Community Hall is located on the corner of School and Main Streets in the Narrows of Northwood.   Please come to eat and share your thanksgiving stories.

Northwood Friends Of Rec Basketball

Open Gym - Grades 4-8, Boys and Girls, come have some fun - games and clinics, Saturday, November 14 and 21.

Times: 4-5, Girls - 9-10:30 a.m.
4-5, Boys - 10:30 a.m. to noon.
6-8, Girls - 12 to 1:30 p.m.
6-8, Boys - 1:30 to 3 p.m.

If you have not filled out your application to play, you can do it on Saturday, November 14th.

We have to order Basketball shirts so everyone from K-8 should sign up online or at the gym.
