Northwood Police Participate In Winni Dip
Hats off and applause to those
representing Northwood: from left: Officer Adam Govoni; Sgt. Cory
Krochmal and wife Colleen on left; Chief Glen Drolet and wife Eliza;
Officer Josh Preve; Sgt. Shane Wells and wife Kellin.
For the second year in a row members of the Northwood Police
Department participated in the annual Winni Dip held in Lake
Winnipesaukee to raise money for Special Olympics. This year the
officers were joined by 3 of their wives. Together they were able to
raise $3000 for this great cause. Due to the depth of frozen ice
this year and the lack of any warm temperatures, the dive area had
to be cut away in order for the brave participants to get in to the
lake. And if you are curious the water temperature was a
bone-chilling 33 degrees. Other law enforcement officers from
around the state made up a large portion of the 100+ dippers in this
year’s event which raised a total of over $66,000. for Special
Olympics NH.
