Pittsfield Parks & Recreation
The 2nd
annual Harvestfest, sponsored by the Pittsfield Parks
and Recreation Commission was held on Saturday, October
25, 2008. Many people came out to enjoy the activities
and beautiful weather. The crowd was entertained with
music provided by Roxanne and the Voodoo Rockers,
pumpkin carving, and face painting was enjoyed by many.
Children also enjoyed the bounce house that was provided
by the Pittsfield Fire Department. The Pie Eating
Contest was also very popular. The winners include
Amber, age 6; Colby, age 10; Dylan, age 14; and Ashley
in the over 19 competition. Tim Riel of Epsom provided
horse drawn hayrides. The Parks and Recreation
Commission would like to thank Harvest View Apple
Orchard for their donation of apples, the Fire
Department for their participation, and the many
community volunteers who helped make this a fun day for
the citizens of Pittsfield.
