He was the brilliant son of our NH Governor, Concord
lawyer, youngest speaker ever of the NH House, promoted from Private
to Colonel to General in the Spanish/American War, and became the
youngest American president yet elected. Yet he is called the
worst president in history.
Join us April 14th, 7:00 pm at the Pittsfield Historical
Society, Elm Street, (behind Jitters Café), as Peter Willner,
Director of NH Historical Society, peels away the dirt to show a man
battling to save our nation from a bloody civil war, Republicans vs.
Democrats, white expansion vs. Indian rights, slavery economy vs.
northern abolitionists, and personal agendas of the rich and
powerful. Public is welcome.
