Thanks From PES

The students and staff of Pittsfield Elementary School wish to publically thank community members for the installation of two new basketball goals on school property near the Winant Road entrance. Two parents and local contractors, David Provencal of Dave Provencal Carpentry and Matt St. George of St. George Auto Body and Storage, volunteered their time and expertise to plan and lead the installation of the two heavy-duty playground goals. The installation took place on Mothers’ Day, May 10.

Mr. Provencal and Mr. St. George recruited other local contractors to donate time and materials. Scott Aubertin of Aubertin Excavation helped dig the holes for the posts. Brian Locke of Brian Locke Leak Repair provided a mixer and concrete. Barton Lumber donated $100 worth of materials to support the project. The basketball goals were purchased last fall with money from the Wal Mart Community Grant, which was awarded by our local Wal Mart Distribution Center in Raymond.

We are grateful for the quality work and for volunteers’ time, money, and expertise. And we are thankful to live and work in a community where the spirit of volunteerism is so alive. The two new basketball goals will be enjoyed by Pittsfield children and youth for years to come.

Sincerely,
Doug Kilmister
Principal
Pittsfield Elementary School
