Granite Girls State is a week-long immersive learning
experience held on a college campus where girls live in “cities”
within the dormitory. Through a nonpartisan curriculum, students
assume the roles of government leaders, campaigning as “Federalists”
and “Nationalists” to become NH mayors, county and state officials.
They learn the important lessons of democracy, patriotism, love,
loyalty, learning, truth, and service. They learn the duties,
privileges, rights, and responsibilities of American citizenship.
The learning, experience, memories, and friendships last a lifetime.
For more information and to obtain an application, see your
guidance counselor. Applications must be received no later
than May 4, 2017.
