Food For Fines At The Year-Round Library
Supports The Gilmanton Food Pantry
The Gilmanton Year-Round Library’s
Food for Fines
program helps supply the Gilmanton Food Pantry.
Is your
book or DVD loverdue at the Gilmanton Year-Round Library?
Not to worry. Bring a donation for the Gilmanton Food
Pantry and all is forgiven.
The
Food for Fines program at the Gilmanton Year-Round Library continues
to be a success. The GYRL recently donated more than 130 pounds of
food to the Gilmanton Food Pantry. Volunteers at the food pantry
said: “the Library’s Food for Fines program has been helpful to the
food pantry. When the shelves are getting low, the Library’s
donations arrive and help fill in the shelves.”
GCC Food Pantry And Thrift Shop News
The GCC
Food Pantry and Thrift Shop has its own telephone number. You may

present, please leave a detailed message and someone will return
your call as soon as possible.
A very
special Thank You to The Grace Capital Church in Laconia. The GCC
Food Pantry recently received a large food donation and generous
cash donation from Grace Capital Church. We also want to thank and
express our appreciation to Kenneth and Carol Hyslop for their
donation of turkeys for our Thanksgiving baskets. With their help
and the help of Wolcott Construction, we had enough turkeys to give
one to every family that requested a basket. All donations of any
size are greatly appreciated.
Christmas baskets are being assembled and ham, pineapple, jelly,
coffee, juice, cereal, peanut butter, pickles, cake and frosting mix
are some of the special items that we could use more of. Gilmanton
and surrounding communities have been very generous to us, however;
in order to maintain our tradition of making a Christmas meal
special, we still need your help. Any item, in any amount is
genuinely appreciated.
Donations can be dropped off at one of our collection sites located
at the Gilmanton School, Gilmanton Year Round Library, and Academy
Building or at the Food Pantry and Thrift Shop during regular hours.
Some
toys are still on the wish list of a few of the children being
sponsored by the Adopt-a-Child program. Please call or stop by the
Food Pantry & Thrift Shop if you wish to help.
The 50%
off sale for all items tagged with a red or green barb continues
through December 21. It is not too late to stop by and find
something special for the holidays and it may be on sale as well.
The GCC
Food Pantry and Thrift Shop is located on Route 140 in Gilmanton
Iron Works and parking is available at the Gilmanton Community
Church parking lot.
