Gilmanton Old Home Day
Gilmanton Old Home Day will be held
Saturday, August 13, 2011, 10 am - 3 pm, at Smith Meetinghouse
Grounds (Route 140 and Meetinghouse Rd.)
Please visit the
Gilmanton Women’s Club booth early for a delicious home-made
buttermilk donut (plus hole!) and a fresh-brewed cup of coffee.
Shop our Bake Sale for a treat to take home and keep your kitchen
cool. We’ll have pies, cakes, cookies, and other treats to
choose from, all reasonably priced. Kids between the ages of
five and twelve might have some fun guessing the number of pennies
in a jar, and one will win the jar if their guess is right!
You may find that one of our attic treasures would fit perfectly in
your home.
Finally, this year we have our biggest Raffle
ever with more than $1,000 worth of prizes including a large food
basket, a miniature/doll house, hair care products basket, and gift
certificates from restaurants, grocery stores, and other area
businesses. The drawing for these prizes will be at the end of
Old Home Day, you need not be present to win. You could be one
of our lucky winners for a one dollar chance!
The Gilmanton
Women’s Club is a non-profit organization, and all funds raised go
directly to help needy families right here in town. We buy
winter jackets and boots for kids in need, help the Gilmanton Food
Pantry, “Adopt” several children at Christmas, support local youth
organizations (GYO, Boy and Girl Scout troops), and donate to the
Gilmanton libraries.
We appreciate your support in the past, and
we look forward to seeing all of you folks this old Home Day.
