Gilmanton Year Round Library Starts Fundraising Campaign
Summary: The Gilmanton Year Round Library Association announces
fundraising campaign to purchase a multimedia computer system. Natalie’s
Coffee of Derry, NH, is proud to assist in a fundraising effort to defray
costs and expand library services. Here is how you can help.
The Gilmanton Year Round Library Association (GYRLA) plans to expand the
library’s services in time for the summer season with the purchase of a
multimedia computer system with a laptop computer, DVD player, video
projector and screen. The GYRLA is seeking a minimum of $1800 to purchase
the equipment and is asking the public for help.
Once the system is purchased, the library will be able to offer such
programs as summer movie times and rainy day activities. In addition, there
will be unique learning opportunities from guest speakers with
presentations, art exhibitions, and the possibility of community education
programs.
Natalie’s Coffee of Derry, NH, joined the fund- raising effort.
Natalie’s supplies custom roasted Fair Trade coffee, as well as teas, chai,
and cocoa. Coffee comes in over 60 flavors and there are over 30 varieties
of tea or chai to choose from. The coffee is as fresh as you can get it –

With each and every bag purchased, Natalie’s Coffee will donate $1 to
the cause, including reorders.

Letter
Gilmanton Youth Organization Thank you!!
We couldn’t have done
it without you!!!
We managed to get a year’s worth of work done in one
day!!
Over 70 volunteers from all age levels were represented.
There were over 20 families that turned out with parents, active ball
players, siblings, and even some alumni, all working together to get the
park ready for 2010 Opening Day.
We had a crew of coaches and dads that
built two awesome dugouts with materials donated by Lowe’s of Tilton. This
effort brought together the work done last season, by local volunteers, who
excavated, poured 2 slabs, and set block in preparation for the dugouts
completion.
With the generous donation of loam and infield mix from Pike
Industries and delivery by Wolcott Industries, volunteers were able to
repair many of the areas on all 3 ball fields. With the help of a Bobcat,
also donated by a local family, and numerous volunteers, we were able to
spread, level, and seed the Main Field. We were also able to cut and
weed the base paths, while ridding the Softball field of the larger stones.
Volunteers were able to assess our playground and bleacher set-up.
It is our hope that with continued efforts we will soon have a playground
for younger children and 2 more bleacher sections to compliment those built
last season.
The remaining volunteers took the initiative to clean out
our equipment room, concession stand, and tool storage area in preparation
for the upcoming season. They also walked and picked up trash over the
entire park and we were able to dispose of items at the local Recycling
Center as part of a town wide cleanup.
Again, thank you for being there for the kids!!!!
