The Judges did not consider any entry to the sculpture, but admired Victoria Hall’s pottery.

The Committee thanks all these artists and the three Judges, Jackie Heath, Trish Gordon, and Lisa Prizio.

Also, our “Artist of the Year,” John Downs, Wood Carver. This was a new feature of the show, suggested by Lori Baldwin.

All day, John and his large table full of beautiful wood carvings was surrounded by visitors, admiring the table full of carvings, watching John at work and asking him questions!

John has been an exhibitor in the Art Show for many years. We were honored to see more of his work, and more of him.

Grateful thanks go out to our many helpers, Elizabeth and Thomas Morse. To Barbara Angevine, George Roberts, Frank Bosiak, Lori Baldwin and to any  whose names I may have missed!

Children’s Art Show Gilmanton Old Home Day

Submitted By Mary Morse
For the first time in years, Gilmanton Old Home Day Art Show included a special Children’s Exhibit.

Margaret Roberts collected and hung paintings selected at Gilmanton Elementary School by art teacher, Chris Callaghan.

Also, Lori Baldwin collected art work including a weaving sample.

The Children’s art was not included in the judging, but added greatly to the show.

The committee thanks these ladies and our very talented young people.
