On Tuesday, September 8, the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association will present “Reducing “Fall-ty” Behaviors” from 11:00 a.m. to noon.  Falls and accidents seldom “just happen.” Often times they are the result of behaviors that put us at risk. Explore what behaviors put us at risk and ways to make changes to reduce the risk of falling.  Registration is required for this program.  Please call 224-4093, ext. 5815 or sign up at the library front desk.

Also on Tuesday, September 8 at 6:30 p.m. the movie, “5 Flights Up,”  starring Academy Award “winners” Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton.  Universal Studios describes this film as a story of a happily married couple who have decided to cash in on their sought-after Brooklyn apartment.  As a series of crazy events unfold and offers on the apartment fly, they find their unwavering love tested in surprising ways – and ultimately discover a whole new lease on life!  Please note the film begins at 6:30.

Epsom Food Pantry

Good morning, one and all.  Well, we have been really busy at the Food Pantry and when we are busy you know what that means. We are getting low on supplies, so, when you go shopping, keep us in mind

Our wants are Peanut Butter, Jam, white bread, cream soups, hash, canned veggies, and cereal. Just about anything would be fine. One thing we need, as I said last week, would be items for the kids to carry in their lunchboxes, such as drinks, trail mixes, raisins, or whatever you know children like.

Fresh veggies still coming and I understand we have a delivery coming Friday which I shall tell you about next time. Hope I do not seem pushy, but our membership is up to almost 100 families. So, sometimes we do need help.

Until next time,

Priscilla

DOWNSIZING IN EPSOM

Many of the folks in town already have, or are considering downsizing out of economic necessity. Our town should do the same. The Town Offices and the Library can exist int he same space, making do like the rest of us.
