Valley Artisans Artist of the Month
Judi Grierson from Epsom has been bead-weaving for 5 years. Her
special interest is in creating the ‘Vintage’ look in many of her
pieces of beaded jewelry. She started in the typical way just making
a few bracelets but soon discovered all the other lovely things that
could be created with the different beads available. It’s the
sparkle that captures many but for others it’s the colors or the
intricate patterns. Judi likes to work the intricate detail of
bead-weaving so that many of her pieces are delicate looking yet
quite durable. She is available for custom pieces if requested since
many of her pieces are sized to fit, not one-size-fits-all! If I
knew someone who was getting married I would want to see her
beautiful Wedding set that would delight any bride. I received a
gorgeous intricate bead necklace for my Birthday this year that
makes me think of Downton Abbey and the intricate bead designs you
see in the vintage period clothing. Judi is an extraordinary beader
working with tiny beads and creating beautiful necklaces, bracelets
and earrings. Do come and see her creations. Valley Artisans is open
every day from 10a-6p until Christmas. We have unique NH made gifts
for everyone. 736-8200.
Epsom Food Pantry
As I look back on the year that is about to come to a close, I like
to think that we have brought some happiness to many families in
Epsom who just needed a little extra help at this time in their
life. I know that the volunteers who run the Pantry all feel a sense
of satisfaction that we have been a helping hand to our neighbors
when they most needed us.
Now back to the business at hand. We could use a few canned goods
such as beets and beef stew. Some jam and some puddings/jello and
last but not least some, juices in large bottles (not grapefruit).
I also want to publicly thank the family of Keith Cota for their
generous donation celebrating his “39th” Birthday. Also, that dear
man from Concord who has sent us a check for the last 2 months. And
to Jeannie Foster, for all her wonderful fresh veggies, so lovingly
prepared for us to distribute, and really to all our gardeners who
just stepped right up to the plate and furnished us with a wonderful
assortment of fruits and veggies. Now if the chickens would just
start laying again we would have it made.
Now that winter is upon us, do be careful driving during this busy
holiday season. You would be missed.
Until next time,
Priscilla

Epsom Legion Post #112 Repaired
Submitted By Robert Blodgett, Interim Senior Vice
I would like to introduce you to a project that was planned to be
done at as little to no cost to the Post#112. I suggested that with
the help of others, we could possibly achieve this mission. Well, it
all came together with the help of Herve Brien, Norman Yeaton, and
Gordon Ellis, all members. Our friends, Robert Hutchins, for his
assistance and Herb Bartlett for the use of his equipment (at no
cost to the Legion).
After three days of putting our heads together, we proceeded with
the project. The wall was pushed out 2½ inches. We pushed it back
into place after the floor was cut out 2½ inches. All interior wood
work was then reinstalled, painted moldings, repaired one door
casing, an completed the job. I could not have done it without the
help of the above mentioned people.
