I had
promised to elaborate on my objectives. First: Jobs, Jobs,
Jobs.
We are a free market economy. However, we are a
regulated free market and do not condone commerce without
conscience. If you subscribe to Socialist, Marxist, or
Communist systems, stop here.
In a free enterprise system, the
government doesn’t create jobs, but can create the climate where the
free enterprises will create jobs. The businesses look to
stability in the economic environment. Stability in taxation,
regulation, and litigation.
How have we done in the past four
years? Sadly, it looks line the State is intentionally chasing
out jobs and encouraging pink slips to be issued. There have
been 84 new taxes in four years, many of them on businesses, big or
small. I must pay a tax to keep my employees, even if I make no
money! Double taxation has been imposed. The rate of
each tax has fluctuated upwards. We already have the highest
business tax burden in the nation.
The regulations are mind
boggling. Some contradict the law; some make no sense.
There is no central location where all valid regulations could be
viewed. The state-operated website has a disclaimer of
accuracy!
Litigation: The outcome of a case often depends
on the judge. There is no consistency, no predictability in
our courts. The State Supreme Court has made great strides.
However, every clever lawyer will try to find jurisdiction in the
federal courts and get out of the state system.
We have our work
cut out for us. We need to make every dollar count.
Respectfully, Tony F. Soltani Epsom
Letter
To The Editor
Dear Editor: I am writing in support of Tony
Soltani, who is a candidate for State Representative from Epsom,
Allenstown, and Pittsfield. I have known Tony for more than 20
years. He is my friend, a fellow veteran and a Legionnaire.
He has a deep commitment to community service, and has always given
it his all.
Tony, as he is known everywhere, keeps his small town
values, and has never shirked from giving his time and considerable
talent to serve the people. During his previous service at the
State House, he developed a mastery of the rules, the process and
the state operation. He used this knowledge to serve us and to
ensure that his constituents are never short-changed.
Tony brings
a voice of reason and an undiminished integrity to the state
government, something which is desperately needed.
I will be
voting for Tony Soltani as our state representative and ask you to
also give him one of your four votes on November 2, 2010. New
Hampshire is in a mess with its budget, economy, jobs, and taxes.
WE NEED TONY BACK NOW.
Very truly yours, George Foster

To the Voters
of Allenstown, Epsom, and Pittsfield: As State Representatives,
one of our goals is to be available to our voters. We had
Republican debates to meet voters before the primaries. After
the primaries we wished to have debates or just roundtable
discussions with our Democratic opponents, so that the voters could
meet all the possible candidates in one location at one time and
compare our views and opinions and then make an informed,
fact-filled decision. When contacted, one of our opponents
told us that meeting with voters was not “ in the best interest of
the Democratic Party.”
This exchange is a primary example of the
differences between the candidates. The four of us are
committed to being available and accessible to the voters so they
can question us and request our help. Our opponent, as is
common with Democratic candidates nationwide, does not want to meet
the voters and does not want to hear their cares and concerns.
To view the email exchange for yourself please visit
www.suncookvalleygop.org
Even though our opponent does not want to meet with the voters, the
four of us would be happy to meet you! We have scheduled a
Meet the Candidate night for Thursday, October 28th, from 7pm-9pm at
the Circle 9 Campground, 39 Windymere Dr, Epsom. All four of
us will be there as will be other candidates for other state
offices. For more information please visit
www.suncookvalleygop.org
or call 782-4918.
When the time comes to vote on November 2nd,
please remember that the four of us are committed to being available
to the voters. Vote for us November 2nd.
Thank you, Rep. Carol

It is with mixed feelings that I decided not to seek another term in
the House of Representatives. I am grateful to the many people
of this district who elected me ten times to this body, but
now it is time for others to serve. I hope that voters will
give consideration to Mary Frambach as a candidate for this office.
Mary is a life-long resident of Epsom. She taught school for
many years. She has served Epsom in several capacities
including deputy town clerk, budget committee including chairperson,
and selectman. These experiences would be an asset for her in
considering the many complex issues that legislators will face in
the next session. Mary will have my vote and I hope she may
have the votes of a majority of people in this district.

Letter
To my Constituents in Allenstown, Epsom, & Pittsfield: After
nearly two years of writing these letters as impartially as I can, I
beg your indulgence for a partisan letter. I’m asking for your
vote on November 2, not only for myself, but also for all Republican
candidates for state offices: Governor, Senator, and Representative.
For the last four years, Democrats have held the governorship and
substantial majorities in both the House and the Senate. In
that period, state spending has ballooned by 24%, “balanced” by a
mix of borrowing, downshifting obligations to the counties and
towns, multiple tax increases, new and increased fees, raiding
various dedicated funds, selling state assets, spending down the
rainy day fund and by spending over $300 million in one time federal
money for ongoing expenses. New taxes such as the LLC tax and
the campground tax were imposed and then repealed. We can’t go
on this way.
If we proceed as we have, the next budget will start
with a deficit of nearly $800 million. Based on the last four
years, if we re-elect Governor Lynch and a Democrat Legislature, we
can expect many new and increased fees, as much borrowing as the
state can manage, higher property taxes for counties and towns, any
remaining dedicated funds drained of their assets – and very likely
cries for an income tax.
Yes, the economy has been bad: but
nationwide, state governments reduced spending by over 2% in
2009-10, even as our state spending increased by more than 7%.
The Democrat majority refused to consider quite a number of
suggested spending cuts, even while urging us to expand the
struggling pension system. The Democrats are nice people
individually, but when they get into a block, they can’t seem to
stop spending.
Please vote Republican on November 2!

To The Editor
Dear Editor: I will be voting for my friend,
Tony Soltani, on November 2, 2010, as my State Representative.
I ask my fellow citizens in Allenstown, Pittsfield, and Epsom to
also join me. I have been active in Allenstown town affairs
for many years. I know what it takes to volunteer your time
and efforts for the betterment of the community. Tony has
served on many town boards and committees in Epsom for many years.
He also served eight years as a legislator. I watched him
closely during that time, and I knew that our town was well
represented under the watchful eye of Tony. He took his
function seriously and was always available and responsive to his
constituents. No two people can always agree. But with
Tony, he understands that you can disagree without being
disagreeable. He listens and tries to learn from differing
perspectives and opinions. He can change his mind if better
information or reason convinces him. Nevertheless, he always
will do that which in his heart he believes to be right. He
will bring a voice of reason, and a wealth of integrity to Concord
on our behalf. Tony never walked lockstep with any special
interest group or political party. When Allenstown’s vote was
diminished after being Gerrymandered with Hooksett, Tony fought hard
and stood up to his own party leaders to ensure that that meant he
would have to work harder for reelection. He stood up for his
district in allocating State Highway Funds after years of neglect.
He successfully challenged the equity of the school aid distribution
formula, which resulted in the benefit to towns such as those in his
district, rather than the wealthy towns in the seacoast, and the
Southern Tier, which did not need the funds, but had the political
muscle.
Tony is a tireless advocate of his constituents. I
hope to see him as our representative in Concord again.
Sincerely, Art Houle Allenstown
Letter
To The Editor
Dear Editor: This letter is in unwavering
support of Tony Soltani as he seeks to once again to place his State
and Her people above self as a New Hampshire State Representative.
There is no substitute for experience. There is no substitute
for Soltani. Tony is an American, a New Englander, and a
Granite Stater. Tony is a father, a veteran, an attorney and
he is an experienced New Hampshire State Representative.
During
his time as a New Hampshire State Representative, Tony was a
resounding force for common sense politics, working for the common
good. My father, Gabby Daneault, and Tony were and remain
friends. As colleagues, they collaborated on many state and
county projects. During the redistricting, Tony stood up
against his own party leaders to ensure that Allenstown would have a
better chance of electing its own representative, and he succeeded.
Now that Tony is well, he is the one person that I fully trust to
help make New Hampshire well again. As such, Tony will be
getting my vote on November 2, 2010; and I will be hoping that he
will also get the votes of you and your readers. New Hampshire
needs Tony, because there is no substitute for experience;
there is no substitute for Soltani.
Sincerely, Louise Letendre
