At the Community Supper
on March 28, Swedish Meatballs will be featured. Community Suppers
are held at the United Methodist Parish Hall on Main Street on the
second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 6 p.m. These suppers
are free to all, although donations are gratefully accepted and used
to defray the costs of future meals.
The Chichester United
Methodist Church will hold a Maundy Thursday Service at 6:30 p.m. on
Thursday, March 29. On Easter morning (April 1st) a Sunrise
Service will be held in front of the church at 6:30 a.m. An
Easter Breakfast, open to everyone, will follow the Sunrise Service.
The Easter Sunday Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Please join us
for this Easter Holy Day celebration.
Chichester Grange will
meet on Wednesday, April 4, at 7 p.m. upstairs in the Grange Hall.

Spring is officially
here! We have quite a few earthen flower pots and some nice
planters. Easter merchandise -1/2 off.
This Thursday, the 29th,
last Thursday of the month, everyone’s favorite 1/2 off everything
day!
Mon. 8-12 Tues. & Thurs.
8-4; Wed. 11-4 & Sat. 10-4. Sat. March 31st, all the blue tag
clothes items will be free. We’re on Rte 28, next to Parker’s

Chichester Town Library News
This afternoon, you can
find some very dedicated knitters at the library, as the Knitting
Circle meets at 3:30 p.m. People of all skill levels are
welcome.
Story and Craft Hour
continues tomorrow, March 29th, at 10:30 a.m. This is a great
time for both kids and parents. Don’t miss it!
Come in on Friday, March
30th at 6 p.m. for an hour of fun hosted by our Teen Group.
They are planning a Bingo and Bake Sale evening. Bring your
taste buds, your wallet and your game face for a great evening.
Word has it, there are some great bakers in the group! There
will even be prizes.
The Down Cellar Poets
will be meeting on Monday, April 5th at 7 p.m.
With April 7th being the
first Down Cellar Used Book Sale of the season, the book area
downstairs will be closed to the public on Thursday and Friday for
set-up. Special requests can be made of the librarian.
The theme of the sale is “Spring into Action.” See you there!
Another “Save the Date:”
Wednesday, April 18th at 7 p.m., the library is sponsoring Rich
Araldi in a concert on a vibraphone. This is a family friendly
concert of popular music and jazz and is free to the public.
Light refreshments will be served.
Epsom-Chichester Lions Club News And Invitation
ATTENTION! all those from
18 years of age into retirement. The Epsom-Chichester Lions are
inviting you consider joining an acclaimed worldwide organization
with 13,000,000 members. “The Lions Clubs” has a mission value
of “Service” to others in our local communities.
The Epsom-Chichester
Lions Club, as part of Lions District 44H,operates a camp called
“Camp Pride” in Durham NH on Merrymeeting Lake for children with
Diabetes or Special Needs.Our clubs supports and maintains the Arts
& Crafts building as a team. We clean, paint, and do a little
carpentry as needed to keep “our” building in ship-shape. It is a
beautiful location with a waterfront, boats, a ropes course, hiking
trails, and athletic fields. Scholarships are available for the
Diabetes camp conducted by Joslin Clinic of Boston if a camper needs
financial assistance.
Additionally, we would
love to be able to resume our roadside environmental project on
Route 4 in Epsom-Chichester. Our other environmental project is
collecting aluminum cans at our location at the Chichester Fire
Station.
An exclusively Lions
project, Operation “Kidsight” was conducted this year. We screened
500 local elementary school and daycare children with our
state-of-the-art computerized eye equipment. Referrals were made for
eye care as needed.

the Epsom-Chichester Lions Club. It will be held at the Chichester

Chichester Garden Club - Composting With Worms
For our kick-off to the
gardening season this spring, the club will host Joan O’Connor at 7
PM on Wednesday, March 28, at the Chichester Town Library.
Joan, who has been vermicomposting -- composting with worms -- since
1992, is a most engaging teacher who has a lot of knowledge to share
about kitchen composting and gardening. Worm composting is
environmentally friendly and garden friendly; and we know you will
enjoy this upcoming presentation at the Chichester Town Library, 7
pm, on March 28. This event is free and open to the public.
