There are Chichester Youth Association Board Positions (President

openings for 2017. Please let someone on the current Board know if

Congratulations to Sarah Hubbard of Chichester, NH who has been
named to the Champlain College Dean’s List for the Spring 2016
semester.

3.5 or higher during the semester. Hubbard is majoring in Graphic
Design & Digital Media.
Chichester’s Old Home Day on August 20 is still evolving and there
are a couple of changes in previously announced events. The CYA has decided against
a 5K race, but Stephanie Berkeley invites participation in the
Chichester Running Club’s Workout and Run/Walk at 9 a.m. The second
change is that grills cannot be allowed at supper time because of
safety concerns in this very dry summer. However, the Chichester
Fire Association is still planning a bonfire and S’mores at 6 p.m.
The Chichester Old Home Day Committee will meet on Thursday, August
4, at the Carpenter Park pavilion at 6:30 p.m.
Kyle Mitchell of Chichester, a scout with Troop 30, will be holding
a car wash on Sunday, August 14th at the Chichester Fire Station
from 9-3 (Sunday 8/21/16 will be the rain date).
The event will be held to raise money for his Eagle Scout project
which will be to add benches along the walking path and improve the
picnic area at Carpenter Park.
He is asking for donations of any value to support his project and
there will also be homemade baked items for sale.
Anyone wishing to bake items for the sale as well, can contact him
at 798-5999 or drop them off that morning.

New Members Wanted!
Nearly a year ago, we initiated a School Budget Advisory Group made
up of members of the community with diverse opinions to provide
budget feedback to us on your School Board., It included parents and
non-parents, those who worked and those who were retired. As we begin the new
budget season, a few in the group have decided not to continue,
which means we have some openings!
This group has been an excellent sounding board for us as we
explore different options of what to include/exclude from the
budget. No
experience is necessary, but you need to have a willingness to
listen, learn and ultimately share your ideas and opinions. We
welcome diversity in opinions and everyone is encouraged to apply!
Please contact Sally Kelly for more information either at
[email protected] or at
798-5806. Thank
you for seriously considering stepping up!
Respectfully yours,
Sally Kelly
