The local Charrette Team and the Town of Chichester wish to thank the many people who have donated stone for the planter in the Town Hall parking lot. Dan Schroth of Stonefence, Pittsfield, will be starting the work soon. Dan and his brother Mark are donating their stone mason skills for this project.

At the Chichester Methodist Church Community Supper on October 28 the menu will feature Beef Stroganoff.  Suppers are held at the Methodist Church Parish Hall next to the church. The meals are free, but donations are appreciated.  Come and visit while eating great food.

On Monday, October 26th at 5:30 there will be the regularly scheduled October Board Meeting.  In addition to the regular agenda, this will be the first meeting of the budget season. As always, all are invited and encouraged to attend to provide their input and insights.

The Chichester School Board is piloting a Budget Advisory Committee for this budget season.  They are looking for 7 registered Chichester voters to review the school budget from their own perspectives.   Ideally the group would include at least one member of the Town Advisory Budget Committee, a current parent of a child in the school, someone who does not have a child currently in the school, and someone with budgetary experience. Volunteers are asked to attend all monthly school board meetings prior to the March meeting.  If you are interested, please contact Sally Kelly at [email protected] or 798-5806 for further information. You can also get further information at the school’s web site.  Members will vote and provide their recommendations on all school warrant articles with the results provided at the town meetings in March.
