The CYA is accepting registrations for T-Ball,
Baseball and Softball for this coming season. If you have a child
who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall, they are eligible to
play T-Ball this spring. This is a great opportunity for the
children to get to know others with whom they will be going to
school. Registration forms are available @
www.chichesteryouth.com.
Please take this opportunity to get them in ASAP so that teams can
be organized and equipment purchased.

Chichester Town Library News

Don’t forget the Library’s special Valentine’s Day gift for parents
on February 14th. Children, age 6 & up, can enjoy a popular movie
from 6-8:30 p.m., so that their parents can go out for a romantic
dinner. Adult supervision will be provided. There is a limit to
the number of children who can attend, so please ensure you sign-up
at the Library, as soon as possible.
The Lovers of the Chichester Library will meet on February 17th at 7
p.m. at the Library. This is an open meeting for volunteers that
help to plan library programs and special events under the guidance
of the Library Trustees.
A Heritage Commission meeting for Chichester will meet at the
Library on Thursday, February 20th, at 7 p.m. This meeting is also
an open meeting and focuses on the preservation of Chichester’s
historic and scenic sites.
As noted last week, romance novels will take center stage at the
Book Sale planned for February 22nd, from 8 a.m.– 1 p.m.
There are plenty to choose from and some special deals are expected
on selected groups of romances.
If you have ever moseyed through the “Down Under” section of the
Library, you may have discovered a corner that features wonderful
books on a variety of topics and emphases. In fact, some of you may
have asked a volunteer about a particular topic and been guided to
one of the Library’s trustees: Lucille Noel. In honor of Lucille
and her dedication to the more valuable books in the Library’s used
book section, we will be calling this area “Lucille’s Corner” and
will be featuring some of the areas of interest that can be found
there. In the meantime, readers may want to check out the special
books at the next Book Sale on February 22nd, before individual
books or subjects are featured, to ensure they get first pick.
