Hopefully, winter is over. We have put away winter coats, etc. But
we have saved some fleece hoodies to combat the March winds. Also,
there are some lightweight spring coats. We are having a special on
leather jackets and long coats March 7-10; $5.00 for short and $7
for long.
We also have several toy figurines (my grandson cleaned his room!).
We also have out flip flops for all ages (still a little too cold
for my toes, but some of you have been asking for them.) Shorts are
coming out. Flower pots too. We do have a bed side rail/net
protector for a twin bed. Books-a-million has nothing on us! Come
see the great selection, starting at 25¢.
We are located on Route 28, Chichester, next to Parker’s Family
Restaurant and are open on Mon. 8-12, Tues. and Thurs. 8-4, Wed.
11-4 and Sat. 10-4. You can call us at 247-7191.

Letter
To Chichester residents:
It has been an honor to serve as your Selectman for the last nine
years and it has been such a rewarding experience over the years to
work with so many wonderful people. As Selectman, I have always
strived to do my utmost to ensure that the best interests of the
Town are always placed first and foremost in all my decisions. I am
now running once more for re-election as Selectman.
During my tenure as Selectman, I have gained valuable municipal
governing experience and have worked hard to develop strong working
relationships with our Town’s employees and the many dedicated
volunteers serving on all the Committees and Boards. One of my main
goals has always been to try and maintain a level funded town
operating budget and stable tax rate while still ensuring that the
Town not compromise the municipal services expected by our
Townspeople, ie., fire and medical safety services, highway/road
services, police services, etc.
I will continue to work hard and dedicate my time to ensure that
Chichester resident’s issues are attended to fairly, and that best
efforts are made to manage reasonable department budgets without
affecting current levels of services, while at the same time working
with department heads to try and find effective and efficient ways
to curb spending. This year’s 2012 budget process is a good example
of the hard work and dedication by the current Board of Selectmen
and the Budget Committee, along with outstanding cooperation from
department heads, to develop a proposed 2012 Town Operating Budget
that is actually less than the proposed Operating Budget of last
year.
I respectfully ask for, and would be honored, to have your vote to
allow me to continue to serve the Town of Chichester as one of your
Selectmen.
