Out Of Your Attic Thrift Shop News
Christmas Sale
Success
A big thank you to Judy W. and her crew who spent hours setting up for
the Christmas sale. It takes a long time to price so many items. People came
from miles around as they remember the previous 2 annual sales. Great buys
with items from .25 to $1 and a few huge items a bit more. A great time was
had by all shoppers and volunteers alike. The Suncook Sun reaches many folks
and we were glad the ad paid off!!! Pays to advertise locally folks.
We have helped the local fire victim recently. Thanks to the help of
many folks, she was able to get items from our shop that she needed. We also
gave games to a local kids club recently. We do a lot of things locally,
many of which I don’t write about as space is limited, but if it wasn’t for
the local support we would not be able to continue our projects. We are now
working on our school back pack project and expect the demand will be bigger
then ever.We hope to at least be able to come up with enough money and
supplies to do at least 500 like last year, but more of them this year is
our goal. You can always check out our website and see our projects and
latest news at
www.babythreadsofnh.com. Many folks came in this week with requests we
couldn’t fill. They included the following:
Wish 1) A round dehydrator.
Wish 2) Pint and half pint jars for
farmer’s market folks who sell, and to be able to sell reasonable, they need
to find jars reasonable.
Wish 3) People are always looking for canes.
Remember if you think you have troubles, come to the shop and buy some
shoes that are too small you’ll forgot your other troubles!!! Remember great
opportunities to help other folks seldom happen, but small ones happen at
our shop on a daily basis.
