Earl B. Clark American Legion Post 42 News

The November meetings of  Earl B. Clark American Legion Post 42 and Unit 42 American Legion Auxiliary will be held at the American Legion Hall, 1078 Beauty Hill West, Barnstead Parade, on November 3, 2015 at 6:30 PM.

Our special project this year is to help support Liberty House in Manchester, a transitional residential facility for honorably discharged homeless veterans.  Aside from financial support, we are collecting new and gently used warm jackets, gloves, boots, hats, etc., to aid during the winter months.

The meetings will be followed by a Pot Luck supper.  We would like to urge anyone interested in becoming a member to attend.

IT’S FAIR TIME!

Barnstead P&P Fair.jpg

Bid on this vintage bean pot collection at the Silent Auction during the Pumpkin & Pine Fair on November 7 at the Congregational Church of North Barnstead, 504 North Barnstead Road.

Be sure to put the Pumpkin & Pine Country Fair at the top of your “to do” list on Saturday, November 7 between 9 AM and 2 PM.  Set your GPS for the Congregational Church of North Barnstead at 504 North Barnstead Road in Center Barnstead.  Drop by next door at our Schoolhouse Café for a snack or lunch when you take a break from your shopping spree.

There will be a smorgasbord of irresistible gifts to choose from: fun, hand-crafted articles perfect for favors or little presents for teachers or friends; homemade goodies from the kitchen table; unique articles from Ghana; a wide variety of collectibles; jewelry; seasonal items; and more.

The main feature is the Silent Auction with an array of unusual gift ideas including dinner for two at the Crystal Quail; a new IsAgenix blender; a beautiful brocade tote; a Waterford crystal vase; and an assortment of doll furniture and dolls for your little princess.  High bidders will be announced promptly at 2 PM.  You do not need to be present at the close, but should be available by phone to arrange pickup.

Remember to buy a few raffle tickets for the handmade queen-sized quilt made by the CCNB Women’s Fellowship (winner will be drawn in March in time for Easter).  When not gracing the wall at the fair, the quilt can be seen at the Chichester Country Store in Chichester, on the corner of Route 28 and Main Street.

We take Mastercard and VISA, so don’t miss this opportunity to start your holiday shopping.  You’ll find something for everyone at this year’s Pumpkin ‘n’ Pine Country Fair!
