Barnstead Parks And Recreation Soccer Sign Ups
On June 1,
2014, Barnstead Parks & Recreation began accepting registrations for
fall soccer for children entering kindergarten (or age 5) through grade
6.
You may
register online at our website, barnsteadrec.org/soccer, or by printing
out a registration form and waiver. Then you may drop off your waiver
and payment (and registration form if by paper) in the new lock box
which will soon be located outside Barnstead Town Hall. Please be sure
that payments are securely attached to registration forms, and that the
player’s name(s) are written on the check’s memo line.
Registrations are no longer accepted inside by Town Hall staff. In
addition, a few in-person registration evenings will be held, dates and
times to be announced and updates provided via our Facebook page
(facebook.com/BarnsteadRec) and
barnsteadrec.org.
Fees are
$35.00 per player, with a cap of $70.00 per family. In order to form
teams, order uniforms and meet league requirements, all players must be
registered no later than August 1. Applications received after that
date will be waitlisted and subject to a $10.00 late fee if placement on
a team is possible.
We are also
seeking volunteers to serve as coaches and assistant coaches for all
levels (K-6). Please contact [email protected] if you
are interesting in coaching. Last year we had a great response to our
Soccer Tots program for three and four year olds. We would be pleased
to offer this program again, if volunteers step forward to manage it.
As always,
thank you for your support of our Parks and Rec programs and volunteers.
We look forward to a great season.

Prescott, age 70, of Center Barnstead passed away May 2, 2014. He was
the son of Fred and Hazel Prescott of Fitchburg, MA., born January 30,
1944.
He retired
from Nashua City Public Works as a truck driver. For several years he

grandson, Robert.
Family
members include his wife of 35 years, Janet Prescott, his Uncle Fred and
Aunt Jane Wilson and cousins of Fitchburg, MA, sons Alan and Steven and
their loved ones, brother Steven and Nancy Prescott and nieces and
