U.S.
Senate Candidate Jim Rubens To Be Guest Speaker
At
Next Meeting Of BARC’G
The
Barnstead-Alton-Gilmanton Republican Committee (BARC’G) has announced
their next monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 pm.
The meeting will be held at J.J. Goodwin’s Restaurant (upstairs dining
room), 769 Suncook Valley Highway (Rt 28), in Center Barnstead.
In an
on-going effort to have candidates speak at BARC’G meetings, this
month’s guest speaker is former NH State Senator Jim Rubens. Jim
announced last September that he would be challenging current U.S.
Senator Jeanne Shaheen in the November 2014 election. However, to do
so, Jim will have to prevail in a primary against a number of other
Republican U.S. Senate candidates. Rubens will share his reasons for
choosing to run, discuss where he stands on the issues, and explain why
he feels he’s the candidate who can best represent New Hampshire in
Washington, D.C.
BARC’G
meetings are open to Republicans and like-minded Independents from
Alton, Barnstead, and Gilmanton, and any other towns in New Hampshire.
The meetings offer a great opportunity to renew old friendships with
those who have been away for the winter, to meet new people, and to
question the candidates, all in an atmosphere of grass roots politicking
at its best!
Per the
usual meeting format, if you’re interested in having dinner (at your
option) or wish to socialize before the meeting, plan to arrive as early
as 5:30pm.
The
Committee reminds you to bring a non-perishable food item (cans of soup,
tuna fish, etc, etc) to the meeting for distribution to local food
pantries.

information, please send an email to

Candidates
For Governor And Congress To Address Belknap County Republican Committee
The next
monthly meeting of the Belknap County Republican Committee has been
scheduled for Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 pm at the Top of the Town
Restaurant, 88 Ladd Hill Rd in Belmont.
With the
September Primary looming, and numerous candidates vying for a variety
of offices, the Committee will have two guest speakers this month.
Andrew Hemingway of Bristol, NH is a candidate for Governor, who hopes
to be able to challenge Gov. Maggie Hassan in November. And, Dan Innis
of Portsmouth, NH is a candidate for Congress in the 1st district, who
hopes to challenge Cong. Carol Shea-Porter in November. Andrew and Dan
will each discuss their reasons for deciding to run for public office,
and will share with the Committee their philosophies and their positions
on the issues affecting the state of New Hampshire. They are both
facing primaries, so their appearance at this month’s meeting will offer
Committee members the opportunity to ask questions to help them decide
who to vote for on September 9.
Belknap
County GOP meetings are open to ALL Republicans and like-minded
independents. Per their usual meeting format, if you’re interested in
having dinner (at your option) and/or wish to socialize before the
meeting, plan to arrive as early as 5:00 pm.
The
Committee once again reminds everyone planning to attend to bring a
non-perishable food item to the meeting for distribution to local food
pantries.
