Nighthawk
Hollow Seniors
Submitted
By Beverly A. Goodrich, Secretary
The
Nighthawk Hollow Seniors met at noon on October 2, 2013 at the Barnstead
Town Hall. Members enjoyed a delicious pot luck lunch, followed by a
business meeting with President Christine Sanborn presiding.
We accepted
the resignation of Treasurer Deborah Fedorchak with regret. She has done
a fine job.
We missed
several of our regular members and hope they will attend the November 6
meeting. A silent auction is planned.
New members
are always welcome. Dues are only $4 a year and meetings are delicious,
fun, interesting, and entertaining. Come join us! For information,
contact President Christine Sanborn, 875-2676.

Obituaries
Patricia G.
Wright
Patricia G.
Wright passed peacefully at St Luke’s Anderson Hospital, Easton, PA on
September 29, 2013, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
She was
predeceased by her parents, brother, and husband, Harold M. Wright. She
is survived by her children: Allen M Wright of Boston, Ma; Carol Lynn
Wright of Center Valley, PA; Barbara Wright of the NH Seacoast; and
William M Wright of Winston-Salem, NC. She also leaves 4 grandchildren
in whom she took great pride: Emily Patricia Wright Murphy of
Poolesville, Maryland; Geoffrey Murphy of New York, NY; Elizabeth Wright
Weeks of Rochester, NH; and Stephen Wright-Eaton of Portland, Maine.
Her
accomplishments were many. She was salutatorian of her high school
class, graduating at the age of 16. She attended Macalester College on
an academic scholarship, and met her future husband while working for
the Army Air Corps at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, following World
War II. She was also a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star,
Sunday school teacher, and Red Cross volunteer. She considered her
greatest accomplishment, however, to be raising four children whom she
felt were positive contributors to the world.
Although
her intellect and gifts equipped her to have an illustrious career, she
chose to devote her life to shining the spotlight on those around her,
and allowing them to achieve their potential. She loyally supported her
husband’s career, enabling him to contribute to the world as a pioneer
in rocket science. She supported her children’s education and interests,
providing lessons and opportunities, and ensuring their needs were met.
She helped those less fortunate, and was kind to all she met.
Her
hallmarks were her sense of joy, and the gentle, loving, and kind way in
which she interacted with those around her. She had a sweet, gentle soul
and a keen sense of humor. She made those around her happier, just by
being in her presence.
She will be
dearly missed, but her light lives on in the many lives she touched. She
made the world a better place, and her belief is that she will be going
to a better place. May she rest in peace, and the joy she brought to the
world live on.
