to hear from you! If there is enough interest, we will do our best
to organize a program. Please email your thoughts and contact
information to:

Parks and Rec is looking for volunteers to organize and
run crafts and games for our Halloween Trunk or Treat event, time and
date to be determined. Donations of candy are also greatly
appreciated.
Are you a talented builder, crafts person or painter? We
need your assistance to put together a holiday display. Several
volunteers will be needed to assist with events at what we hope will
become a new Barnstead holiday tradition. We’re also looking for
donations of Christmas decorations such as ornaments, garland, bells,
wreaths, lights, etc. to make our display sparkle.
Several
enthusiastic people are needed to help organize activities for adults
including outing clubs and game night.

“Donations” in the subject line if you have time or supplies to give.
We’re excited about growing our community, but we need your help to make
it happen.

announcements. The public is always welcome to email us with ideas
and feedback, and we invite you to attend our public meetings held the
first Thursday of each month at 6:30 at the Barnstead Parade Fire

Story Hour Has Started At The Barnstead Library
Story Hour has begun at the Barnstead Library. Every Wednesday
(except when school is not in session, including early release) at 10:00
am we invite you to bring along your little ones and listen to a story
or two, do an arts and craft project and have a snack.
This program
has been under the direction of Dawn McCartney for many years and is
completely run by the volunteer parents and care-givers. Reading,
providing snacks and running the arts and crafts is divided up by the
volunteers. It has always been extremely successful. A wonderful way for
your children and for the adults to meet each other and enjoy some
social time.
Parking is behind the library and the Story Hour takes
place in the Program Room, usually running about 1 hour. If you
have any questions, please call the library at 269-3900. And
again, please remember, if school is cancelled, or delayed or has an
early release day, we do not have Story Hour. Come and join us on
Wednesdays at 10:00 am. See you soon for a morning of shared fun!
