The next meeting of the Barnstead Farmers and Gardeners Network will be
held on Saturday, July 7 at 9 am. Location will be the Town Hall. This
meeting is primarily for finalizing plans for the Barnstead Open Farm
Day, which is scheduled for Sunday, July 22, 2012. Other topics will
include future plans for the group and community outreach.

Strafford Women’s Club Event
The Strafford Women’s Club presents its annual Ice Cream Social
Scholarship Fundraiser event on Wednesday, July 11th at the
Strafford Bow Lake Grange (beside the dam), located near the
intersection of Route 202A and Province Road and across the street from
the Blue Loon. The quaint lovingly restored building has plenty of
convenient parking. Between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 pm you are
invited to build your own awesome sundae from a variety of toppings and
engage in laid back conversation with your friends, relatives and
neighbors.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase ($1 each, 6/$5) for our
gift auction. All proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund to be
awarded to Strafford graduating seniors.
So, mark your calendars for a pleasant ride to Bow Lake for a sweet
treat and perhaps go home with a raffle prize or two! Prizes awarded at
our second annual ice cream social being held on Wednesday, August 8th.

Men’s Breakfast
Center Barnstead Christian Church is hosting a free Men’s Breakfast this
Saturday, June 30th from 7:30-8:30 am. All men are invited to come and
enjoy breakfast.
Our guest speaker this month is Chava Nuñez. He is a Mexican missionary
from Chihuahua who is serving among the Cora of Nayarit, Mexico. Chava
and his wife are in the midst of building relationships with the people
and learning the Cora language and culture. Come hear what he has to
share and bring a friend, too!
The Center Barnstead Christian Church is located on Route 126, next to

Barnstead Summer Concert Series
Summer is in full swing, so come out and enjoy the live, energetic music
of High Range at the June 30th Summer Concert in Barnstead.
This nationally recognized band earns rave reviews from national
publications for their original songs and for their mix of cover songs.
In September 2005, they were selected as "A Band to Watch For" by
Bluegrass Now magazine.
This high energy roots, folk, bluegrass group will lift your spirits. So
bring a blanket, chair, friends and the kids and prepare to dance, sing
along or just chill to the talents of this awesome band! Various local
non-profits will be offering refreshments as fundraisers. Thanks for
your support.
High Range plays Saturday, June 30th, from 6 – 8 pm, on the Barnstead
parade grounds on Parade Road. See you there!
