Snow Shoe/Winter Hike, Saturday, 2/18, 10 am. All are welcome. Depending
on conditions, bring snowshoes or hiking boots and meet at Connie
Mitchell’s home at the corner of North Barnstead and Rand Road at 9:45
am.
The hike will start at 10 am going out the Clapp Road and returning to
No. Barnstead Road. This is a moderate slope, takes approx 60 to 90
minutes and will be followed by a pot luck lunch. Storm Date: Sunday,
2/19, 1 pm to 3 pm with light refreshment/ pot luck.

The first meeting of the Barnstead Farmers and Gardeners Network will be
held on Sunday, February 19th. Time: 2 pm. Location: Barnstead Town
Hall.
Topics of discussion will include: Saving your own seed, building
community gardens, supporting local farm agriculture and developing a
local resource guide for farmers and gardeners.

Chris Gnanakan To Speak At CBCC
This Sunday, February 19th, Dr. Chris Gnanakan will be speaking at the
Center Barnstead Christian Church. A native of Bangalore, Chris worked
as an electrician in the MICO factory for 3 years before theological
studies at the Word of Life Bible Institute & School of Youth Mission
(New York). He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Temple
University and went to do a Master’s in Divinity at Temple Baptist
Seminary which he completed at the Asia Graduate School of Theology.
Currently, Chris works as the Director of Training for Outreach To Asia
Nationals. OTAN serves in over nine Asian countries, where traditional
missions are ‘restricted’, by encouraging, equipping and empowering
national, pastoral leaders to fulfill the Great Commission.
Chris is happily married to Dorothy, and they have two daughters Alethea
and Charis. This Friday and Saturday, Chris will also be speaking at a
Prison Fellowship weekend seminar in the Concord State Prison.
Come and hear what Dr. Gnanakan has to share from God’s Word this
Sunday. Sunday School begins at 9:00 am and Morning Worship follows at
10:00 am.

Barnstead Library Hosting Family Game Night
The Oscar Foss Memorial Library is hosting a Family Game Night on
February 28, 2012 from 6-8 pm. We invite all Barnstead families to come
participate in the fun! Some board games, light snacks, and juice will
be provided but we would love families to bring their favorite games to
share. Everyone who attends will receive a ticket for our Board Game
Raffles! In case of inclement weather, our snow date is March 1, 2012.

Meet the Candidates Night will be held on Wednesday, February 29th at
the Barnstead Town Hall. The Oscar Foss Memorial Library in Center
Barnstead is pleased to sponsor this event again this year.
All candidates for Town and School offices have been invited to attend
and be on the panel. There are several different Town and School
positions open this year. Come and talk with the candidates. Bring along
your questions and have a chance to hear the candidates speak on the
issues.
There is parking at the Town Hall and also parking behind and beside the
Library.

The family of the late Daniel M. Barraford III, who passed away on
January 19, 2012, would like to express their heartfelt thanks and
appreciation to all those who supported us in our time of grief. Thank
you for the visits to the funeral home, flowers, prayers, e-mails,
cards, memorial donations and for attendance at the service.
Special thanks to Rev. Gayle Whittemore for officiating at the service;
