Summer
Concert Series
Barnstead Parks and Recreation is proud to present Chris Bonoli and her
Blues Monsters, as they perform from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the free Summer
Concert Series on the Barnstead Parade on Saturday, July 23rd. Her
mix of blues, rock, folk and original music, influenced by the music
stream from the late 60s to the 90s, is particularly evident in her
soon-to-be-released second CD, “I’ve Got Dreams.” This
performance will feature an Americana theme found on the recording,
crossing songs from jazz, rock, folk and country with a common rhythmic
thread that Chris and her band bring to every song. Local
community groups will be providing refreshments. Rain or shine,
Chris and her band members will be there to entertain and don’t forget,
bring your lawn chairs, blankets and friends.

Calling All
Classics For Barnstead’s Old Home Day
Do you have a classic vehicle
that you would like to showcase?
As part of the Classic Vehicle theme
of this year’s Old Home Day we will be having a classic vehicle show
from 3-6 pm on August 27th displayed at 306 Parade Rd. Barnstead
(across the street from the Parade Fire Station).
Each vehicle will
be given a number and a dash plaque to fill out and display on the
vehicle. Old Home Day attendees will be encouraged to view the show and
vote for their favorite vehicle. When the votes are tabulated a trophy
will be awarded to the winner of the “People’s Choice.”
Vehicles can
be a classic car, truck, tractor or anything with wheels. Registration
forms are available at the Town Clerk’s office or at the Old Home Day
link on the Barnstead website (www.barnstead.org)
Show us your ride and enjoy a spirited afternoon of competition with
the other classics in town.
