“Shame On You”
I am a
WWII Soldier buried in peace at a Barnstead, NH, Cemetery. But Not So.
I never got to kiss mommy and daddy good bye or hug my brothers and
sisters.
I was K.I.A. (killed in action) for your freedom.
I also
share a space in the above cemetery. I lived a good twenty years after
WWII, but my war wounds took their toll and I passed away because of
them.
My brothers above share a war story I often reminiscent about.
I am 89 years old, must I share their same faiths?
My name is James
Covalucci, recipient of the Purple Heart and Finance Officer of American
Legion Post 42 here in Barnstead, NH.
Recently I had to purchase 3
bronze WWII grave markers.
“Shame On You” stole the others.
Must we
bury all our veterans of all wars with their grave markers in their
caskets because of “Shame On You.” Then they will become unknown
soldiers.

Letter To The Editor
Vote Forsythe, September 14th
Editor:
Jim Forsythe is running for the Republican nomination for the State
Senate in District #4 because he cares deeply about what is happening in
Concord and wants to restore a sense of fiscal responsibility and
respect for individual rights to our state government.
Jim is
a passionate, knowledgeable and hard working leader. He is recognized as
a candidate who would bring youth and new ideas to the senate.
As an
engineer, he has the background and experience to understand complex
issues such as energy.
As a
father of two school aged children he understands the need for our
children to receive a quality education.
As an
activist for personal freedoms, Jim understands how new regulations and
taxes have contributed to difficulties for our small businesses.
As a
veteran, he understands service to our country and the sacrifices people
make every day to insure our freedoms.
In the
past several months, Jim has made a sincere effort to meet as many
people in the district as possible, to listen to their concerns and
assure them that our state can take a new direction. This is a very
important election, as we need a new generation of leaders. However, Jim
needs your support in order to make that happen.
As an
undeclared voter, I would encourage my fellow independents to join with
District #4 Republicans to vote for Jim Forsythe in the September 14th
primary.

Barnstead-Alton GOP to Host US Senate Candidates Forum
Tuesday, August 17
The
Barnstead-Alton Republican Committee (BARC) is pleased to announce the
3rd in a series of special events. At their August 17, 2010 meeting,
BARC is sponsoring a US Senate Meet the (Republican) Candidates Forum.
The Republican candidates for US Senate will be attending this event;
they are seeking the opportunity to go head-to-head against Paul Hodes
(the likely Democrat contender) for the US Senate seat being vacated by
retiring US Senator Judd Gregg. Before one of these candidates can face
Hodes, they must face each other in the September 14th Republican
Primary to determine who will be Hodes’ challenger. So, if you’re not
sure which US Senate candidate you should vote for in the primary,
here’s your opportunity to hear from them at one event.
This
event will be held at J.J. Goodwin’s Restaurant, 769 Suncook Valley
Highway (Rt. 28), Center Barnstead, NH, on Tuesday, August 17, at 6 p.m.
(a 1/2 hour earlier than the normal start time for BARC meetings) or
feel free to arrive at 5 p.m. for dinner (at your option). All
interested Republicans and Unaffiliated/Independents are invited to
attend. For more information, go to the BARC web site at
www.BARC-NewHampshire.com or send an email to
