Barnstead Elementary School PTO

The Members of the Barnstead Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization are pleased to announce its official formation. Bylaws have been adopted, and a Board has been elected to serve for the 2010-2011 school year.

The dual objectives of the PTO are: bringing home and school into closer relation so that parents and teachers may cooperate in furthering the education of Barnstead Elementary students; and developing united efforts to secure the highest possible advantages for Barnstead Elementary students. These objectives will be promoted through activities designed to bring together parents, teachers, students and the general public.

In addition to planned activities, the PTO also seeks donations of the following items to assist with fundraising efforts, all of which may be dropped off at select locations within the school or to any Board member: Box Tops for Education; Campbell’s soup labels; used printer ink cartridges; empty Caprisun juice pouches; Hood milk caps; and Nestle labels.  Hannaford and Target stores also offer direct reward programs to benefit the school.

Membership is available to all parents and family members of Barnstead Elementary School students, the faculty and staff of Barnstead Elementary School, as well as residents of the community of Barnstead at the rate of $6.00 per person, or $10.00 for two adults in the same household. Barnstead Elementary School faculty and staff may join at the reduced rate of $3.00 per person. Look for us at Barnstead Old Home Day to join or for more information.  We welcome input from our community, and look forward to the growth of our membership.

Cancellation Of Barnstead Old Home Day 2010

The Barnstead Old Home Day Committee regrets to announce that Old Home Day 2010 for Barnstead is cancelled.  Lack of participation in the planning process has caused acute planning setbacks for this year’s event.  After careful consideration, the consensus of the remaining Committee members is that it is not possible to recover from this year’s planning shortages. The Committee has decided to reconvene the group in October 2010 to focus on recruitment of Old Home Day Committee leadership, members and community volunteers for next year’s event.

We need your assistance! If the continuation of Barnstead Old Home Day is important to you, please plan to join us on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. in the Barnstead Town Hall to begin recruitment and planning for Old Home Day 2011.

For more information, please contact us by email at [email protected].
