HOORAY! The Barnstead Ice Rink Is Open!

With the help of many volunteers, the ice rink, located behind the police station is open! The skate changing shed is now insulated, plywood is attached to all the walls and the lights are on for night skating. The electricity has been upgraded in both the skate changing shed and the pump house, which makes it easier to flood the rink.

Don’t have skates? We have a number of donated skates - so take a pair from the bins in the skate changing shed. Free hot chocolate for all skaters is supplied by the Center Barnstead Christian Church.

An adult only skate party, sponsored by Center Barnstead Christian Church, will be held on Friday, January 22, starting at 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to get to know other adults in town. There will be hot chocolate, hotdogs, and games. It should be a fun time and all adults are welcome. If this goes well, every Friday night will be a Family Skate Night.

The regular ice rink schedule includes times for both families and hockey players. For safety reasons we cannot have both at the same time. Come on over to the ice rink, pick up a schedule and join the fun. Nothing makes us volunteers happier than seeing many people enjoying themselves and knowing that all our hard work was not in vain.

Letter

Dear SVS Readers:
According to the polls, a majority of Americans believe that we have never been given the full truth about the events of September 11, 2001. We do know that the official account is full of omissions and misinformation. Most of the questions asked by the impacted 911 families were never addressed by the 911 Commission. Even the collapse of WTC#7 was never considered.

So there is currently a statewide movement in over 20 NH towns to put up the following Warrant Article to be considered by the voters. Barnstead is one such town with petitions currently circulating.

“Are you in favor of adoption of the following Resolution; “Shall New Hampshire’s Congressional Delegation be instructed to pursue a new and independent investigation to address thoroughly all of the evidence and unanswered questions related to the events of September 11, 2001?

The record of the vote of this article shall be transmitted by the Town of Barnstead to New Hampshire’s Congregational Delegation.”

Two wars, the current surge in Afghanistan/Pakistan, overwhelming debt to China, and near economic collapse here at home are all good reasons for a new independent investigation of Sept. 11, 2001. This grass roots movement is called voteforanswersnh.com. There is so much new science as to what actually occurred in documentaries on Google, such as “911blueprintfortruth” the truth is never unAmerican. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”
