The
Nighthawk Seniors are having a meeting on September 2. Come join us for
a luncheon and auction. Please no broken items for the auction. All you
have to do is bring a casserole or dessert and your own place setting.
Members, bring a friend or if you would like to join us, we will be at
the Barnstead Town Hall on September 2, 11:30 a.m.

Barnstead Old Home Day Says Thank You
Barnstead Old Home Day is behind us for one more year! As always, Old
Home Day cannot happen each year with out the support and assistance of
numerous individuals and businesses. The Barnstead Old Home Day
Committee would like to acknowledge and thank the following people and
organizations that have helped make Old Home Day possible once again
this year:

Barnstead Parade Congregational Church who generously allows us to hold
this event on their property every year.
• The community volunteers
who help set up, direct traffic, sell merchandise, and help with events.
Without these community volunteers, this day would not be possible.

John Cotton for providing the sound system.
• Bob Tiffany who
provided the announcements.
• Russ Abbott from Atlantic Traders who
was our auctioneer.
• Dan Poole who donated his labor to upgrade the
electrical distribution system for the vendors
• Matthew Raymond who
donated his talents to create the theme artwork
• Jim Doucette for
organizing the horseshoe throwing contest.
• The residents who
surround the Parade Grounds for their patience and cooperation with an
event that causes them considerable inconvenience.
• Everyone who
donated an item to the Auction - we could not do it without you. This
helps fund Old Home Day for next year.
• All the sponsors of the 5K
Road Race and the Canoe and Kayak Race.
In addition to the
