Chili/Chowder Cook Off

On Sunday, March 29 at the Barnstead Elementary School the Pack 43 Cub Scouts will be hosting a Chili/Chowder Cook Off. Festivities will begin at 1:30 p.m. Registration begins at 1 pm. The entry fee will cost $5.00. Bring your own crock pot and serving spoon and the scouts will provide all paper goods. No pre-registration required. Extension cords are appreciated, but not required. Anyone can enter and the Golden Spoon will be awarded to “Barnstead’s Best Chili” and “Barnstead’s Best Chowder.”  If you are not up to cooking, come down and be the judge.

There is a $2 per person admission fee and the Scouts will be selling bottled water and corn bread.

Every year our pack has been able to give back to the community, whether it be through community clean up or a monetary donation to a local family in need. However, it has been a trying time for everyone in this hard economy. This fundraiser will be split 50% to help support the Smith family. Tim Smith is our Official Pack Representative to the Fire Department and we appreciate all of his help, and are happy to return the favor. For more information please contact Rhonda Gagnon 776-5288.
